Throw Back to 1969! Dodge Charger Vs. Ford Mustang

1969 Dodge Charger- One of the icons of early american muscle cars, the 69' charger is also one of the most desired classics of collectors.

Engines- Two engines were offered when this car was released, one was a 440 magnum with 375hp and the other was a 426 Hemi with 425hp. The 440 magnum came standard with the charger 500 and the 426 Hemi came standard with the charger R/T. I think that the perfect engines were offered for this car. The Hemi put in this car back in 1969 is what brought us the Hemi today which is offered in half of dodges new vehicles and is one of if not the most dependable engines on the road after over 40 years of working up to near perfection.

Cost- Back in 1969, the charger R/T with the Hemi was selling at just under $4,000. Today this car is worth over $70,000 because it is in such high demand by collectors. A few select models are topping out at over $200,000.

Interior and Exterior- One of the signature options given to the charger was the massive spoiler that the daytonas had. Almost all of the chargers came with leather seats and all top notch things available in 1969. Some models even had power locks and power windows which was rare.

My Opinion- The Charger has always been and always will be one of my favorite cars, especially the older ones like these. I just love the overall apperance of them and like I said before it is in the definition of early american muscle cars.

The 1969 Ford Mustang- The mustang has been an american muscle legend since it began and this year of it is no different.

Engines- There were many engines offered in these mustangs, from a small 250 3.3L I6, all the way up to a 429 7.0L V-8 Boss. I think Ford gave many engine options to this car to make it a car that could fit anyones needs, from a person who liked the looks and still wanted good gas mileage, to a person who liked to street race and could burn almost anyother car out there at the time.

Cost- In 1969 this car sold for around $3,500, but now this car is worth around the same as the charger at $70,000 if it is in good enough condition and is almost all original.

Interior and Exterior- Unlike the charger, I dont think that the mustang had any really defining outside features to it. Like the charger the interior was almost always top notch and almost always had leather and some models had power windows and locks like the charger did.

My Opinion- I honestly never really did like mustangs very much and that is no different with these. I just dont think they look as good or as much of a muscle car as the charger does. I would take the charger of the mustang anyday. I like the looks alot more and I love the Hemi engines. Regardless of my opinion though, the mustang is also one of americas original muscle car icons and has earned to be respected.

2013 Ram 3500HD vs. 2013 Ford F-350

2013 Ram 3500HD- Dodge has come along way with there line of 1 ton trucks, clearly shown by the 2013 motor trend truck of the year award. The only question is that if its better than the Ford F-350 that has been at the top for a long time.

Engines- Dodge offers two engines for thier 1 ton: the 6.7 Cummins turbo diesel that puts out 385hp and an incredible 850lbs of torque. The new 3500 has a best in class towing of over 30,000lbs and a max payload of 6,750lbs! Along with the 6.7 cummins is a top of the line Aisin 6 speed automatic transmisson. The other engine offered is of course the legendary 5.7 Hemi that puts out 365hp. I dont think that dodge could have put any better motors in theier pickups. The combination of towing power and fuel economy could not be better for a 1 ton pickup. The 6.7 cummins is a great motor and always has been, we owned a pick up that had one in it and the dependability and power it put out was incredable.

Cost- The basic tradesman model 3500 starts out at around $29,900 with the hemi engine and feew options. The 3500HD Larime Longhorn with the 6.7 cummins turbo diesel and laid out with options tops out at around $68,500. I think that for a truck of its quaility, the starting price is not bad at all and is worth every penny. The highest end model gets up there in price but I also think that your getting what you pay for buying the number one truck in america and that its worth every penny.

Interior and Exterior- Like all the other one tons the ram 3500 comes with the option of dual rear wheels, running boards or side tube piping. There is also options of rear differientials and transmissions that are not offered in other pickups. Also you have the choice of the two tone outside which looks very nice and takes away the plain look. The interior of the dodge I think is very nice and is alot better looking than the inside of the ford. The interior is not plain and there are alot of options that can personalize your truck. There are many different interior colors, options of the sunroof, and also the dodge uconnect option. I think dodge did a great job with the interior and exterior of their truck, it is a very nice overall looking truck and the design of it is by far my favorite.

My Opinion- I think that dodge deserved the motor trend truck of the year award, thier trucks are by far the toughest, strongest and best looking on the road. They have great engines that are powerful, great on fuel, and very dependable. These trucks are worth every cent they cost and if you owned one you would see that, they are incredable for a one ton pickup. This is probably no surprise but, again dodge is my favorite.
The 2013 Ford F-350- The F-350 has had some good trucks not going to lie, but I think its time to see if they are over hyped.

Engines- Ford offers two engines for thier trucks. The first is a 6.2L gas engine that puts out about 385hp and 400lbs of torque. The second is a 6.7 Power stroke turbo diesel that puts out 400hp and 800lbs of torque. The trasmission is a 6 speed torqShift. The turbo diesel can pull up two 24,500lbs which is almost 6,000 pounds. Ford has some powerful motors but still are not as powerful as dodges. I have heard alot of bad things about their diesel engines but havent heard much about the 6.2 gas engine. Ford enigines are okay but are not the best on the list.

Cost- A basic Ford F-350 starts out at around $30,000 with very few options. The Ford F-350 platnium shoots up and tops out at close to $73,000, but comes with every option you can think of. I think that the F-350 starts out at a good price and isnt a bad truck. The platmiun though I think is way over priced and for that money I would either go buy a Dodge or a GMC. I do not think that they are worth the money compared to what else is out their and for what is being offered.

Interior and Exterior- Ill admit, ford does offer quite a bit more options than dodge does, but I dont think they are a big enough deal to sell me on the ford. The interior of the ford is really nice and comes with many options, but I still like dodges better. The exterior has pretty much the same options as dodge, but I think that the dodge looks alot nicer on the outside and doesnt look as plain as the ford does.

My Opinion- I think that ford did make a good truck and I cant say I wouldnt like to own one, but if given the choice, I would take the dodge everytime without a second thought. The dodge seems like a much better truck to me, it beats out the ford in almost every catagory and I think that its a much nicer overall truck. One thing that has me most sold on the dodge is the engines, from what ive heard about fords 6.7 and from what ive heard about dodges 6.7 makes me run from the ford to the dodge. Dodge seems like a much more dependable and powerful truck and is more worth the money. Dodge over ford in this one.

2013 Dodge Avenger vs 2013 Ford fusion

The 2013 Dodge Avenger- The avenger has only been around for a few years but has proven to be a good addition to the dodge vehicles as a smaller edition of the dodge charger.

Engines- Dodge offers 2 engines for the avenger. The 3.6 pentastar that gives 283hp and the 2.4L I-4 that puts out 173hp and gets about 31mpg highway. I think that dodge made good choices on the enigines in the avenger. The avenger is supposed to be a smaller version of the charger and still be sporty with good mileage. There is no need to put a Hemi or any other bigger motors in the avenger.

Cost- The avenger is the best priced american made small sedan starting at $18,500 and even the basic version is still luxurious. The most high end avenger tops out around $28,000. The avenger is very reasonably priced. You get alot for what you pay for. The avenger is luxurious vehicle and looks a lot higher priced than it really is. We own a 2010 dodge avenger R/T and it is definatly worth what we paid for it.

Interior and Exterior-  The exterior of the avenger doesnt change much depending on the models exceot the slight body change and the decals on the R/T. The interior of the avenger is very nice no matter what model. It has most of the standard options like the leather, the touch screen and nav, and the moon roof.  One thing about the avenger I have noticed is that for being such a small car there is a lot of room. There is plenty of leg room in front and back and also the truck is huge and fits up to 13.5cubic feet.

My Opinion- I think that dodge did a great job on the aveneger. Being that we own one I can say these things with first hand experiance. The avanger gives alot of room for a small car, it gets great mileage, for that little in-line four the avenger is acually a pretty quick car, it more like a 45 to fifty thousdand dollar on the inside and out car if you get the R/T. We have gotten so many compliments on ours and people have guessed it costed close to fifty which is not even close. Its a great car and its very dependable. Also people respect this thing a lot more than they should thinking that it does 150mph+ which is also no where near the real number. Overall a great car and worth the money.

2013 Ford Fusion- I have heard alot of good things about the new fusion, but time to find out weather they are true or not and if the avenger will be better.

Engines- Ford has offered 5 engines for their new fusion. two gas engines and three hybrids. The gas engines are a 2.5L, a 1.6L with ecoboost. and a 2.5L with ecoboost. All of these get mid twentys for city and high thirties for highway mileage. The three hybrids get mid forty"s for mileage. I do not think that ford needed to offer 5 engines for this car. I think rhat they are wasting a lot of there time considering the fuel economy isnt very much different between the gas engines. There is also not much of a difference between the three hybrid engines for fuel economy. Ford made a mistake on putting that may engines in this car.

Cost- The basic fusion starts out at $21,900 whihc is $3,000 higher than the avenger that gives you more, The high end fusions with the hybrid engines shoot up to over $40,000 which is over $10,000 more than the avenger, which in my option is not worth the money. I think that the fusion is over priced like most other fords and that maybe it would be worth it if the price was a few thousand lower.

Interior and Exterior- Probably my favorite part of the new fusion is that it looks kinda like an Aston Martin which is a very expensive car. The exterior of the fusion is nice but I feel like ford could do more to make it look a little more sporty. The interior of the fusion is very nice and actually might top the inside of the avenger.  The inside of the fusion looks like the cockpit of a really expensive car or a race car. The design of the inside is great and ford did a good job.

My Opinion-  I think that the fusion is an over good dependable car but over priced. The outside and inside design look like that of a much more expesive car. Mechanically the fusion is not worth the money. The avenger is just as good mechanially and is much cheaper. I think that the avenger wins this hands down. Maybe if the fusion was more reasonably priced it would stand more of a chance. Over the avenger is a over great car all around and it is the most reasonably priced sedan in america.

2013 Grand Caravan Vs.2013 Ford Flex

2013 Dodge Caravan- The dodge caravan has always been one of the best selling minivans and also one of the most dependable minivans to be produced. The 2013 version of the caranavan im sure is the same way.

Engines- There is only one engine available for the new grand caravan but as long as its the right engine it works just fine. In this case it is the right engine for the job, its the 3.6L pentastar
V-6 that gets 17mpg city and 25mpg highway. The engine comes standard with a 6 speed automatic transmission. I think that only having one engine available for the caravan is just fine considering that the pentastar is a outstanding engine and suits the caravan just fine. There is very few uses for a minivan and its usually just for big families so the option of a bigger engine is pointless. This will also make the repairs much easier and much cheaper.

Cost- The new grand caravan starts out cheap at $19,500. The most expensive and laid out version of the caravan is still very reasonably priced at $34,500 and that comes with every option available. I think that dodge has the caravan very reasonably priced. You can go out and buy a brand new top selling top rated minivan for under $20,000.

Interior and Exterior- The exterior of the caranavs does not change very much on the outside except a few irrelavnt details. The interior of the caravan has many different options. It has the touch screen radio and nav, leather option, sunroof option, but it also has the option of rear veiw entertainment systems. I think that the caravan has a decent number of inerior options especially with the rear veiw entertainment, with what is offered in the caravan someone could go cross country and back with out ever getting uncomfortable.

My Opinion- The 2013 grand caravan is a great minivan and I think is the best minivan produced. The caravan has been around for a long time and through out that time they have perfected it in everyway, fuel economy is great, the amount of room is unbelieveable and its very comfortable.

2013 Ford Flex- The Ford Flex is a relativly new cross over. How does it compare to the caravan?

Engines- Like the caravan there is only one engine available for the ford flex. The enigine available is a 3.5L V-6 that gets 18mpg city and 26mpg highway which is one mpg better than the caravan in each catagory. Im going to say the same thing now as I did wit the caravan, only one engine is need for minivans because there is basically only one use for them.

Cost-  The standard for flex starts out at $29,500 which is $10,000 more than the starting price of the caranvan but you dont really get more for that extra 10 grand. The more high end flex jacks up to $52,000 with everything you can think of and more. I personally think that ford is way over priced and is not worth the money. The caravan definatly more worth the money.

Interior and Exterior- Ford has all the general options like the leather, the touch screen nav and radio, the moon roof and then like the caravan the flex has the option of a rear veiw entertainment system as well . Unique to the ford though is a refrigerated console which is pretty cool. The exterior doesnt change very much from model to model like the caravan. I think the flex has some cool options available to make it a comfortable cross over but I still think the caravan is nicer.

My Opinion-  In my opinion the caravan wins this in a landslide. It has been around much longer and has had much more time to get closer to perfection of a minivan. The ford flex is a great cross over and if you have the money it is not a bad buy, it is still a great cross over just not as good as the caravan. So basically if youre on the market for a minivan go with the dodge once again.

Dodge Durango vs. Ford Expedition

The 2013 Dodge Durango- Dodge has greatly improved the durango that used to be one of the worst SUVs you could buy, but how does it compare to Fords Expedition?

Engines- Dodge has given the durango two engine options. The smaller more fuel efficent engine is the 3.6L pentastar V-6 that puts out 295hp and gets 23mpg highway. The other engine available is of course the 5.7L V-8 Hemi engine that puts out 360hp and gets 20mpg highway. I think that the 2 engines dodge offers are perfect for the durango because the Hemi gives you enough towing power and room if you dont want to buy a truck and the pentastar gives you the mpg and the room if you dont want to buy a minivan.

Cost- The basic Durango SXT starts out at around $29,500. The high end durango is priced around $39,900 with all the options available. I think that the durango is very reasonably priced especially compared to the expedition since it tops out at the expeditions lowest price.

Interior and Exterior- I think the durango has a very sporty looking exterior for a SUV and I think it is the best looking SUV out of Chevy Ford and Dodge. The interior of the durango was designed for maximum space and comfort and it shows. There is plenty of space and it seats 6 people very comfortably.

My Opinion- The durango has come along way from what it used to be. It is now a great all around SUV that is very dependable, very good looking and for a good price.

The 2013 Ford Expedition- The Ford Expedition hasnt changed very much over the years its been around. It has always been a decent big SUV.

Engines- The expedition is only offered with one engine and that is the 5.4L V-8 triton that puts out 310 horsepower and gets 20mph highway. The Triton and the hemi are very similar engines. I think that ford should have offered more engines like dodge did with the durango. That would make the expedition a more common SUV because it could have more purposes.

Cost- The Expedition starts out at around $40,000 which is what the most highend durango starts out at which is a disadvantage for the expedition. The most expensive high end expedition with all the options tops out at around $49,500 which is the King Ranch EL. I think that the expidition is way over priced. It may be worth that price if they put their disiel in them like they used to. Now the only people that have expiditions are the people who want something that size but dont want a F-150.

Interior and Exterior- The expeditions exterior has not changed much over the past ten years they have always looked pretty much the same. The interior now has seating for 6 which it does very comfortably with alot of room like the durango. I think that ford could have changed things up a bit and done something different for this vehicle to make it alot better.

My Opinion-  Dodge wins this one hands down. They have a better look and the engines are alot better. Not only that but the price is much lower too and you get more for the cheaper price between these two vehicles.

2013 Dodge Charger vs 2013 Ford Taurus

The Charger has changed a lot over the many years that they have been around. The new 2013 Chargers greatly improved and is now one of the vehicles selected to be on the police force everywhere which says that it is a reliable car. But what is it compared to the other newly selected car to the police force: the 2013 Ford Taurus.

Engines- There are three different engines available for the new chargers. The first is the 3.6L pentastar V-6 with around 292 hp and gets 19mpg city and 31 mpg highway. The second engine available is the 5.7L HEMI with 370 hp and gets 18mpg city and 25mpg highway. The third and biggest engine available is a massive 6.4L SRT8 HEMI that pushes 470 hp but the mpg is not an pretty sight. I think dodge offers a wide enough variety of engines to suit the needs of anyone to buy this car weather it be for daily driving or for just having fun with that 470 6.4L engine.

Cost- A new Dodge Charger SE which is the basic package with the V-6 will start around $25,900. The new Charger SRT8 will start at around $45,900 which comes with all the options and that monster 6.4L Hemi engine. I think that for a car a sporty, fast and quaility as the Charger that Dodge has it very reasonably priced. The $45,000 SRT8 with a few minor modifications can look and sound like a car that does 200mph and cost $100,000+. The Charger is a very good buy for the money.

Interior and Exterior-  The Charger has most of the options as all other new cars nowadays such as the leather the moon roof, the touch screen stereo and navigation, and other luxurious options.

My Opinion-  The dodge charger has always been one of my favorite cars and has always been one of the biggest names in muscle cars. The 2013 is no different it combines power with dependabiliy which makes it one of the best cars out there. No matter what you can not go wrong buying a dodge Charger.
The new Ford Tauraus is big improvement over the old ones, almost all of the older ones were junk. The question is the new Tauarus better off on the police force or the charger?

Engines- There are also three engines available for the Tauraus. A 2.0L inline 4 with 240 hp and gets 22 mpg city and 32highway mpg. Also available is a 3.5L V-6 ecoboost engine that is twin turbocharged with 365hp and gets 17mpg city and 25mpg highway. The third engine is 3.5L V-6 without ecoboost and has 288hp and gets 19 mpg city and 26mpg highway. In my opinion ford should have offer a bigger V-8 engine option for the police force editions of these cars. Even without the V-8 options ford has given the Tauraus a good selection of high quality motors to pick from

Cost- The basic new Ford Tauraus Se starts out at $26,700 but has very few luxoury features as a base model. The middle of the road model is the limited which is priced at $33,100 and gives you quite a bit of options to make your car comfortable. The most expensive high end model is the SHO which is sport tuned with all options put into it priced at $39,300. Like the charger I think that this car is priced very well and is well worth the money you pay for it.

Interior and Exterior-  Like any other new ford the Tauraus comes with the options of the my ford touch, leather seats, moon roof and other common options so there is nothing unique there.

My Opinion-  In my opinion there is no point in having the fords on the police force anymore because the dodge chargers are such great and fast cars that they put the fords to shame. Yes the dodge charger is an overall better car but the Tauraus is also a very great car and also very reliable but lets face it a tiny little 3.5L V-6 is going to get dusted by the 470hp 6.4L HEMI everytime.

2013 Dodge Dart vs. 2013 Ford Focus

2013 Dodge Dart- The dart is back from its last production year in 1976. It seems that its is a great car and that everyone likes it, but is it as good as the long going frod focus thats been around quite a while.

Engines- Dodge offers 3 engines in the new dart. The smallest one is a turbo inline 4 1.4L that gives 160hp and gets around 27 mpg city and 39 mpg hoghway. The second engine is a inline 4 2.0L that also gives 160 hp and gets 25 mpg city and 36 mpg highway. The biggest engine offered is a 2.4L inline 4 that gives 184 hp and gets a little less than the 2.0L for mileage. I think that the motors they offer a good fit for the dart. the dart is not ment to be a really fast car but one to get good mileage and thats what they have done to it giving it 3 inline 4 options.

Cost-  The new dart starts out at around $16,500 for a basic version. For a high end most laid out dart it will cost you around $26,500. The dart is very reasonably priced I think and espescially for such a quality car.

Interior and Exterior-  Just like most of dodges vehicles the dart comes with a wide varierty of options available. You can choose the size of rims you want between the stock rims and a set of 17" rims. For the interior there is the option of gps navigation and touch screen stereo or the standard radio. Of course there is the option between cloth and leather of all differnt colors as well. Also available is a moon roof. I feel like dodge made this car as just a standard car instead of a super sylish flashy sports car. Its just an all around general car.

My Opinion-  I think that dodge did a great job with the new dart after bringing it back to life. Its an all around great car that gets good gas mileage and that looks pretty cool to in my opinion. It has a great exterior style and also a great interior style. The engines dodge gave this car are all great engines with great reviews that make this car very reliable. Its a great car.

The 2013 Ford Focus- The new ford focus has been recieving a lot of hype latley. In the past it was not that great of a car. Has it changed?

Engines- Only two engines are offered in the new ford focus but thats all it really needs. The first is a small inline 4 that can get 26 mpg city and 36 mpg highway which is very close to the dart. The other engine is a little more interesting: its a 107kw electric motor that can pull 110 mpge city which is insane. These motors have earned the focus best in class horespower. I think that the engines offered are perfect for this car. They both get great gas mileage and the gas engine puts out some pretty good horse. The electric engine is incredible and is definatly worth the extra money.

Cost-  A standard new ford focus with the gas engine starts out at around $15,500. The highest class for focus shoots up to around $40,000 when you stick that amzing electric motor in there but you get what you pay for and its definatly worth it.

Interior and Exterior-  In my opinion ford has given the focus some pretty cool options. There is of course the common options of leather, radio and the moon roof but ford has also given the option of a rear entertainment system which is something you dont see everyday in sedans. There are 7 diffent models of sedans available for the focus so there has to be one that you will like.

My Opinion-  I cant believe Im saying this but I think that ford might have out shined a dodge for once. The focus is a all around great dependable car and I cant think of anything in its class that would be better than it and top that electric motor and the overall quality of the vehicle. The dodge dart is still a great dependable car but it needs more work over the next few years if it wants to top the new focus. Go with the Ford (for once)

2013 Dodge Journey vs. 2013 Ford Explorer

2013 Dodge Journey- A vehicle cant just win SUV of the year for no reason can it. Time to see weather the new dodge journey deserves the award it recieved.

Engines - Dodge offers 2 engines in the new journey. They offer a 2.4L inline 4 that has 173hp and gets 26mpg highway and will take you over 500 miles on one tank of gas. The other engine offered is a 3.6L pentastar V-6 that gives 283hp and gets 25mpg highway. I think that there is not enough difference between the two motors to make a difference to get and extra mile to the gallon with the inline and to loose over 100hp you would be crazy not to get the 3.6.

Cost- The basic new 2013 journey starts out at around $20,000. For a more luxurious vehicle the price tops out at around $34,500.

Interior and Exterior- The new journey does not have many options for its interior. Of course theres the premium leather option or cloth option just like in almost every car. Theres also the touch screen nav and radio option or the standard radio also available in most cars. A moonroof or sunroof is also available. For the exterior there are the paint choices. The journey has a five star crash rating and is a very safe suv. Most people that have driven them say that they ride like a cloud and are very comfortable but could use more leg room but leg room is made up with the third row seating for seven.

My Opinion- In my opinion the dodge journey is a very good and very dependable suv. I guess that it does deserve the suv of the year for its dependability and quality but I think it should have more available options.

2013 Ford Explorer- The ford explorer has been around for a long time and has not changed at all except for recently but were these changes for the better or worse?

Engines- Ford offers 3 engines for thier new explorer. A 2.0L inline ecoboost is offered that gets 20mpg and 28 mpg highway. A 3.5L V-6 with ecoboost is offer that gets 16 city and 22 highway mpg. The 3.5L with out ecoboost and 350hp gets 17 city and 23 highway. All three of these motors are great motors but the 3.5L V-6 is definatly better than the 3.5L ecoboost because it gets better mileage and it costs less with more horsepower.

Cost-  A basic explorer will start around $29,500 and a explorer sport will go up to around $50,000 with about everything you can think of put into it. The explorers laid out sport edition is pricey but you get what you pay for.

Interior and Exterior-  The ford explorer has more unique options for the interior. The my ford touch is much different than dodges uconnect and it can do more. Ford has many more interior colors for their leather and a more unique style. The explorer also has the option of a third row seating like the journey does. Also like the journey the explorer has had very good saftey reveiws and is very comfortable and has a nice ride.

My Opinion- The ford explorer is a great suv and has been around for a long time. It has come along way since it first started. The ford explorers new changes are definatly improvements becuase before them it was not a very good car. Between the journey and the explorer I think there both great suvs and both worth the money.

2013 Challenger vs 2013 Mustang

Dodge Challenger- The all new 2013 dodge challenger is one sweet fast car for the money. Should the challenger deserve all the hype that the legendary ford mustang gets?

Engines- There are four engines available for the new challenger. Of course theres the standard 5.7 hemi with 375hp and a six speed transmission. Also available is the 5.7 hemi with fuel saver technology. Dodge also offers a pentastar V-6 that can pull 27mpg highway. For the people that like the real powerhouse engines there is a 6.4L hemi SRT-8 with 470hp that can hit 60mph in under 4sec.

Cost- The 2013 dodge challenger starts out at around $29,500. The most luxurious and fastest model: the SRT8 starts out at around $50,000 with almost everything you can think of put into it including that monster of an engine 6.4 Hemi.

Interior and Exterior- Just like most cars the challenger has a wide variety of the way the interior can look. Almost always it has standard leather seats but also available are two tone matching racing seats with the outside of the car. Many different color schemes are availabe for the entire interor, usually coordinating with the exterior. Of course also availabe is the touch screen navigation and radio. Also available is the standard radio. Depending on what model of the challenger you purchase the exterior could be a little different. Lower end models are just usually just standard 1 color and normal body style. Higher end models usually have stripes and decals such as the R/T and also have a sleeker body for areodynamics.

My Opinion- Being a dodge owner and buyer this is one of my dream cars. I would love to have the Redline R/T with the 6.4 hemi. I really like the body syle and the options available in this car. I would take this over the chevy and ford compition but im not saying its the best, Ford and chevy both have great cars that would definatly give this car great compition.

2013 Ford Mustang- Unlike the challenger, the Ford mustang can be identified by almost anyone weather they know their cars or not. The mustang is just a more popular and more hyped up car. But is it overrated?

Engines- There are 3 engines offered in the 2013 mustangs. The lowend mustang gets a V-6 that puts out 305hp and gets up to 29mpg highway. The middle class mustang gets a good sized 5.0L V-8 with arounnd 420 horsepower. The 2013 Shelby GT-500 gets a special treat for an engine, a 5.8L V-8 with a cool 662hp and a top speed of around 205mph that yes could blow a 2013 Dodge Challenger away in race...

Cost- The standard normal mustang starts out around $27,500 with the V-6 and very few other options. The 5.0L V-8 gets a little more pricey starting at around $35,000 but with a few more options. Now for that 5.8L monster I told you about. The 2013 Shelby GT-500 with 662 hp and anyother option you can think of will cost you around $68,000, but you get what you pay for with this beast.

Interior and Exterior- Much like the challenger and other cars the mustangs can have many different looks. The lower end mustangs will get cloth seats, standard radios, and few other options. The higher end mustangs will get two tone leather racing seats, touch screen nav and radio, climate control and alot of other bells and whistles. The exterior options are also much like that of the challengers. Lower end cars get single color plain paint. Higher end models like the shelby will get decals, stripes, custom bodies, and two tone leather to go with the two tone outside gloss or metallic paint.

My Opinion-  Ford really outdid themselves with this car. There are many great features and options available, not to metion everyone would hear you before they see you if you had that GT-500. This is a great car and gives alot of compition to dodges challenger and chevys camaro. The answer to the previous question of the mustang being overrated is definatly a no. Like I said before its a great car and one I would love to own. I still like dodge better though, and I always will.

2013 Ram 1500 vs. 2013 F-150

RAM 1500-
The 2013 Ram 1500 received the motor trend truck of the year. Dodges 2013 Ram had many new additions to their technology and to their mechanics added compared to previous years.

Engines-
Dodge made a new world class pentastar 3.6L    V-6 available in their select models. This engine can pull 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway which gives them the best in-class fuel ecomony. Also available is the legendary 5.7L Hemi with 395 horsepower. Towing cap for the Hemi is 11,500 pounds. The 4.7L V-8 (my personal favorite) is also available with 310 horsepower; on average gets 15 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.

Cost- The lowest-end new Ram 1500 that is available starts out at $22,600. The most high-end 2013 Ram 1500 Laramie Long Horn with all options tops out at $53,000.

Interior and Exterior- The interior is not much different than the interior of previous years: premium leather bucket seats, dodge uconnect touch stereo and navigation, and all the other high class options. For exterior they have added storage compartment on both sides of the bed and a new air ride suspension which is also used in heavy duty trucks such as semi's and dump trucks. This new suspension will provide much more comfort and smoothness to the ride of the truck as well as improve gas mileage.

Ford F-150-
The Ford F-150 has always been one of america's favorite trucks. The new 2013 F-150 is a great truck, but is it better than the new 2013 Ram 1500?

Engines- Ford offers a 3.7 V-6 thats gets 17 mpg city and 23 mpg highway with 365hp. Also avaliable are the 5.0 V-8 and 6.2 V-8. The 5.0 gets 15 mpg city and 21 highway with 365hp. The 6.2 V-8 has 411hp and gets 11 mpg city and 16 mpg highway. Towing capacity of the 5.0L is 9,300 pounds.

Cost- The low-end 2013 ford F-150 starts out a $23,600. The most high-end platnium F-150 tops out at $55,000.

Interior and Exterior- The new 2013 ford did not recieve many new options to the interior or exterior. Standard high-class interior: leather touch screen nav and stereo and the few other options ford offers.

All in all I bought my Ram 1500 for a reason. There better! Towing cap is better, mpg is better, luxury is better and pretty much everything else.
